How to program Maserati Smart Key 2016- with L-JCD Cable
Maserati Smart Key 2016- Instruction

Function:
1. Backup immo data(OBD): Directly back up immo data through OBD and than program or delete keys.(If OBD can't back up the data, please dismantle and read the immo data.
2. Backup immo data(dismantle and read): Please refer to "operation" to dismantle onboard computer and read immo data. After backing up the data, you can program or delete keys.
3. Add smart key: For smart key, the operation to add keys and all keys lost are the same.
4. Delete smart key: Delete all programmed smart key.
Operation:
Support [program key] for new car models(2018/2018-), need to connect K518 to car OBD port with a patch cord.
Program process: back up immo data（OBD)--> add smart key
Operation process (dismantle-free)
1.Backup immo data(OBD)
(1) This function can read and save the immo data of body ECU.(2) Please switch ignition OFF, and turn on hazard lights.
(3) The system is communicating, passing the security verification, and loading external code...
(4) The system is obtaining the data... Please wait for 2 secs.
(5) Please input filename of the data. EPROM data is saved completely.
2. Add smart key
(1) The system is reading VIN code, please confirm if it's correct or not.
(2) Please connect the device with car OBD port.
(3) Switch ignition OFF, and turn on hazard lights.
(4) Leave just one smart key(to be programmed) inside the car, while take other keys outside.
(5) The system is communicating... Press LOCK or UNLOCK button on the remote once.
(6) Please press LOCK or UNLOCK button repeatedly within 30 secs.
(7) Program is completed.
3. Delete smart key
(1) The system is reading VIN code, please confirm if it's correct or not.
(2) Please connect the device with car OBD port.
(3) Switch ignition OFF, and turn on hazard lights.
(4) The syetem is communicating... Keys are deleted successfullly.
Operation process (dismantle and back up)
1. Maserati(2016-)(Ghibli, Quattroporte, SUV: Levante) needs to dismantle body ECU and read immo data to get PIN code.
(1) Levante's body ECU is in the front of trunk cover.
(2) Ghibli & Quattroporte's ECU are under the rear windshield.
Dismantle Quattroport ECU from the rear seat(see below pic). Dismantle Ghibli ECU from the trunk audio position, then you will find it.
2. Body ECU appearance and dismantle/read eight-pin chip (95640/25164/25640).
3. Backup immo data (as shown below).
(1) Connect K518 host to KPROG adapter, and connect with 12V power supply (must use K518 dedicated power supply).
(2) Weld the eight-pin chip (95640/25164/25640) on the E-01 PCB.
(3) Click K518 menu to start to back up the data.
(4) Data backup completed, please weld the chip back to the ECU and roll back installation.
Note: If KPROG adapter can't read the data, try to use a programmer to read and copy the data to specified folder in k518, the storage path: K518 —> file —> feature_947
4. To add or delete keys, please follow the system prompts to operate.
Support [program key] for new car models(2018/2018-), need to connect K518 to car OBD port with a patch cord.
1.Disassemble the co-pilot mat.
2. Find the metal box below the floor mat.
3. Disassemble the metal box's cover.
4. Find the leftmost 3 pins, insert the black line into the middle pin, insert the red line into the bottom pin.
5. Connect car OBD port to K518 OBD port with the patch cord.
Attention:
Suggest to choose [backup immo data(OBD)] to operate. If fail to read data via OBD, please refer to "operation": dismantle and read body ECU data.
Deleted smart key can only be used to program with this vehicle.
New car models(2018/2018-): for example, if K518 cannot read backup data via OBD, car IMMO is changed in this case. It's necessary to use a patch cord to connect K518 with car OBD port. More details, refer to "operation".
Two flashing lights (HAZARD lights) switch lies as shown below, marked in red.
6. There is a knob near the shift lever for the vehicle with Maserati new system(as shown below). Without it, the vehicle is with old system(-2016).
